Michael helped found the startup of Poro-Labs Inc. and then was acquired by NuTech in 2011. Michael has been responsible for start-ups, business development, strategic alliances, budgets, marketing, building teams, safety, and innovation.
Bruce McCollom is a core analysis expert with over 38 years of experience. Bruce is a Mercury Intrusion Capillary Pressure Analysis Expert. Prior to his time with CoreSpec Alliance Bruce was the Geoscientist and Mineral Analysis Laboratory Supervisor for Chevron-ETC. There he gained experience in XRD, MICP, SEM, GeoChemistry, Project Coordination, and QC.
Dr. Doug McCarty has over 20 years experience with Chevron ETC as a core analysis consultant and technical advisor. Dr. McCarty pioneered development of a new method of whole rock quantitative analysis of clay bearing rocks. He is the co-founder and principal organizer of the Reynolds Cup in quantitative mineral analysis (2002), In addition Dr. McCarty was awarded the second place finisher (2004), and first place finisher (2006) in the Reynolds Cup.
Dr. Derkowski has 20 years in research involving clay minerals chemistry, structure, and thermal transformations. He is an expert in the physiochemical properties of mineral surfaces, black shales, mineralogical applications in oil and gas exploration, geomaterials, and K-Ar and Ar-Ar isotope dating. Dr. Derkowski is the Head of the Research Centre in Krakow at the Institute of Geological Sci., Polish Academy of Sciences.
